The Work



The Senior Data Systems Analyst is a key technical leader responsible for devising, implementing, and optimizing data systems and analytical solutions that support mission-critical activities. This role serves as a bridge between business objectives and technology infrastructure, ensuring the effective integration, management, analysis, and security of organizational data assets in accordance with client guidelines and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
  • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
  • Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures.
  • Identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
  • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system

Qualifications

Here's What You Need
  • 8 years of experience with creating dashboards or reports using Tableau / PowerBI or similar tools.
  • 8 years of experience with Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and data management experience using Informatica.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4 years of working with very large-scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, , or similar. Snowflake experience is strongly preferred.
  • 4 years of experience with data analysis.
  • 2 years of experience working with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with Tableau creating dashboards and reports.
  • 2 years of experience working with PowerBI creating dashboards and reports.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
