5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and customization.
Role Summary:
The Senior ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for creating, building, and deploying custom solutions within the ServiceNow instance. This role focuses on developing advanced scripts, managing system integrations, and customizing user interfaces to improve platform functionality, automation, and overall stability.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Custom Development – Build custom applications, modules, and Scoped Apps utilizing JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs.
• Workflow & Interface Automation – Develop and configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, UI actions, and Self-Service Portals.
• Platform Quality & Code Reviews – Perform peer code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, manage update sets within SAFe/Agile cycles, and write automated testing scripts using the Automated Test Framework.
• Integrations & Hub Management – Configure and maintain third-party system integrations (e.g., Active Directory, email services, APIs) leveraging ServiceNow Integration Hub and MID Servers.
• Platform Operations & Support – Support L2/L3 incident resolution, analyze platform performance using Instance Scan/Health Scan reports, and assist with technical enhancements.
• Reporting & Visibility – Create and manage custom reporting structures, performance dashboards, and process mining tools to document technical specifications.
Skills & Requirements:
• Experience – 5+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Core Languages – Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow Glide APIs.
• Integration Protocols – Extensive experience dealing with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and ServiceNow Integration Hub.
• Preferred Domains – Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform data models and architecture, with focused project experience in one or more areas: Workspace development, Portals development, Integrations, CMDB development, Platform Intelligence, or Reporting.
• Methodologies – Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development framework and using source control systems like Git.
Qualifications & Certifications:
• Required Certification – ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• Module Knowledge – Hands-on familiarity with any two of the ITSM, CSM, CMDB, ITOM, SPM modules.
