Role: HIPAA EDI Specialist
Location: Remote
In this customer facing position the EDI Analyst will work with EDI transaction sets for claims, eligibility, and ERAs involving technical inquiries, updates, and resolutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Initiate correspondence between clients and trading partners.
•Proficient in HIPAA EDI 5010 and 4010 transaction code sets (834, 270/271, 277, 837P, 837I, 999, 835).
•Familiarity with Health Care CORE Operating Rules.
•Obtain EDI specifications from trading partners and clients.
•Setup communications for EDI transmissions – FTP setups.
•Knowledge of different FTP protocols (SFTP, TLS).
•Must have expertise in writing SQL queries using SQL server 2016 and above.
•Mapping documents into various formats including but not limited to HL7, and flat file layouts utilizing ODBC connectivity.
•Skillfully implement customers from the initial stage into live production.
•Build relationships between our clients and trading partners.
•Provide on-going training, technical and customer service support.
•Effectively builds on current support and services.

Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum of 4 years of EDI implementations and mapping or equivalent technical experience
•Clear understanding and working knowledge of HIPAA EDI protocols.
•Advanced knowledge of EDI is preferred.
•Preferred understanding of serviced industries primary processes and requirements.
•Complete knowledge of ANSI X12 EDI Standards is preferred.
•Programming experiences a plus.
•Experience with REDIX X12 validator tool is a plus
