Level 4 Central Office Installer to support large-scale wireline carrier projects across the Southeast. This is a high-level, hands-on installation role with the autonomy to run work independently, support junior technicians, and ensure high-quality execution inside Central Offices and MSC environments.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Level 4 Installer, you will handle advanced installation responsibilities, including:
Central Office & Power Plant Work- Properly lace cable, perform hot cutovers, HTAP loads
- Form, terminate, and install DC power cables to new power plants
- Install and remove fiber optic cabling, including pre-termination and termination
- Install equipment inside carrier Central Offices & MSC sites
- Build, install, and maintain ladder rack, fiber trough, and raceway systems
Technical Equipment & Systems- Work with systems ranging from DS0 to OC-192
- Handle DC power, grounding, batteries, rectifiers, PDUs, and telemetry systems
- Operate Alber and Midtronics testing equipment
- Understand alarms, float/equalize levels, internal resistance, microhms, MHOS, etc.
Documentation & Leadership- Analyze job specs and engineering drawings
- Prepare MOPs (Methods of Procedure) and JIMs (Job Information Methods)
- Assign work to Level 1-2 installers
- Correct and mark office record drawings
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections
- Serve as the on-site in-charge technician for common system jobs
Compliance & Safety- Follow Bellcore/Telcordia, NFPA, NEC, UBC standards
- Knowledge of EPA & HAZMAT guidelines for battery recycling
- Maintain OSHA-compliant work practices
Must-Have Skills- Level IV CO Installation experience (or strong Level III stepping up)
- Hands-on experience with central office equipment, DC power systems, and fiber installation
- GR-1275 standards training
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Reliable communication skills and teamwork mentality
- Ability to travel throughout Eastern TN and the Carolinas
- Personal hand tools (punch tool, snips, scissors, etc.)
Nice to Have- Experience with 12V/24V/48V DC systems
- Previous carrier or wireline experience
- Strong troubleshooting experience
