Communications Technician | & || - Structured Cabling / Low Voltage
We are seeking an experiencedCommunications Technicianto serve as an installer on structured cabling, low-voltage, and telecom projects. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to guide small crews, and a commitment to quality, safety, and project efficiency.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to perform the duties of a Cable Installer while also functioning as a lead member of a technical team.
Installation & Cabling- Install work-area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall locations
- Terminate CAT3 & CAT5 jacks, mount faceplates, and surface-mount boxes
- Follow project labeling standards
- Build and install telecom closets, including backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber hardware
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling
- Complete IDC terminations: 110/66 blocks, patch panels, and related hardware
Testing & Troubleshooting- Perform continuity testing on horizontal and riser cabling
- Use volt-ohm meters, tone sets, and other test equipment
- Troubleshoot opens, shorts, crosses, and transposed pairs
- Identify active voice and data circuits
Additional Duties- Perform all tasks in accordance with safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Complete other assigned responsibilities as needed

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
