Job Details

Audit Senior - Public Accounting
A well-established, growth-oriented public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to support its audit and assurance practice. This role will serve as a key member of the engagement team, providing leadership in the execution of audits and maintaining high standards of client service. The position offers strong exposure to a variety of engagements and the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff.
The firm promotes a collaborative, inclusive culture and is committed to employee development, quality work, and balanced workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day engagement activities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
Coordinate and plan engagement phases, including budgeting time and expenses and monitoring performance
Supervise staff and review workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
Prepare and review financial statements, including evaluation of presentation and disclosures
Lead audit planning and fieldwork, and communicate findings and recommendations to client management
Serve as the primary "in-charge" field representative on engagements
Take ownership of assigned engagement areas and drive them through completion
Apply analytical judgment to identify, evaluate, and resolve quantitative and qualitative variances
Leverage prior engagement experience to address current issues effectively
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Travel to client sites as required (varies by engagement)

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
CPA license or active pursuit of licensure
3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance
Strong Excel and MS Office skills (including lookups and pivot tables)
Familiarity with common accounting and audit software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, CCH systems preferred)
