Job Description
We are seeking a Database Administrator III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MS SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and high availability and a proven ability to design, implement, and optimize complex database solutions while leading initiatives to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement complex SQL Server database solutions leveraging new technologies.
- Serve as the team's subject matter expert for MS SQL Server, AlwaysOn, and performance tuning.
- Lead and manage multiple moderately complex projects and special initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive process improvements to achieve operational excellence.
- Perform in-depth analysis of data and environments to select appropriate methods and techniques for solutions.
- Provide work leadership by assigning tasks and resolving technical problems as needed.
- Automate operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance activities, including for TigerGraph environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on MS SQL Server Administration in large, high-tier environments.
- Expertise in AlwaysOn high availability, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Proven delivery in project-driven environments with minimal supervision and strong ownership.
- Prior banking industry experience, preferably as an Application DBA.
- Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting (Shell, Python).
- Experience automating operations, monitoring, and maintenance for TigerGraph (NoSQL) environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment within defined practices and policies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid work environments requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, automation frameworks, and SDLC in regulated environments.
