Senior Network Security Engineer (Firewall)

We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering, Network Security Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise firewall solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama management platform.
  • 2+ years of experience developing, optimizing, and managing security policies across enterprise network environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting network security issues and supporting secure network architectures in large-scale environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls and Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Experience leading firewall migration projects using tools such as Palo Alto Expedition, FortiConverter, SmartMove, or similar migration platforms.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or financial services environments.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
About the Role

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will help design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network security solutions across enterprise environments. You will work closely with networking, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen the organization's security posture while ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in firewall deployments, security policy management, and migration initiatives, leveraging industry-leading technologies including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Cisco solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and support secure network infrastructures using Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Cisco technologies.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall environments, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks and Panorama.
  • Lead firewall migration initiatives, including rule analysis, configuration conversion, testing, and implementation.
  • Develop and optimize firewall policies, rulebases, and security controls to align with business and compliance requirements.
  • Perform firewall hardening, threat prevention tuning, and security best-practice implementation.
  • Manage Panorama components including template stacks, device groups, policy hierarchies, logging, reporting, dashboards, and role-based access controls.
  • Investigate and resolve complex network security incidents while minimizing business impact.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to integrate security controls into enterprise architecture.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
  • Monitor security alerts and events, participate in incident response activities, and support root cause analysis efforts.
  • Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
