Pay Range: $60 - $80/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full cycle accounting for a portfolio of class A office properties in the DC Metro Region
- Create month-end accounting journal entries. Work with property staff, lease administration, and other internal teams to ensure property financials are accurate & complete.
- Review all general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX workpapers.
- Draft variance report comments which explain a property s performance against budget and prior periods.
- Calculate tenant recovery billings for CAM and Tax
- Review new leases at property to ensure accurate revenue recognition and recovery set-up.
- Provide support for audit and tax compliance teams
- Provide support for ad hoc ownership requests
- Provide support to property management team. Be able to explain complex information to others without a financial background.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with client RISE values
- Work within the client standard procedures to achieve
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience with Yardi preferred
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
