This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in manufacturing and production planning environments who bring expert-level SAP Material Master knowledge, including data conversion, configuration, and process integration.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing SAP Material Master data, ensuring seamless integration across manufacturing, purchasing, and production planning. You will also be responsible for leading the conversion from legacy systems to SAP, including configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.

Ideal Candidate Should Have
- 7+ years of experience with SAP Material Master data management and deployment
- Deep knowledge of SAP Production Planning and Manufacturing modules
- Proven track record of full lifecycle SAP implementations (minimum 3)
- Expertise in material master data conversion from legacy systems to SAP
- Experience with S/4HANA implementations
- Strong skills in document management using SAP Document Info Records
- Ability to lead blueprint workshops with cross-functional teams
- Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required

Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Material Master Functional Consultant to support a high-impact client engagement in the public sector. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in manufacturing and production planning environments who bring expert-level SAP Material Master knowledge, including data conversion, configuration, and process integration.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing SAP Material Master data, ensuring seamless integration across manufacturing, purchasing, and production planning. You will also be responsible for leading the conversion from legacy systems to SAP, including configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP Material Master configuration and data integration across PP, MM, and purchasing modules
- Author functional specifications and enhancements based on business requirements
- Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including post-deployment support
- Manage cutover activities and support the migration of material master data from legacy platforms
- Create and deliver documentation and user guides for both Integrated and Stand-alone Business Processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues related to material master conversion
- Provide SME-level input on product classification, interchangeability, and supersession
- Collaborate with stakeholders during blueprint workshops and implementation planning
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on SAP Material Master experience
- Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP implementations
- 3+ years of industry experience in manufacturing, particularly production planning
- Demonstrated experience in S/4HANA implementation projects
- Experience managing material master data conversion, including tool configuration and issue resolution
- Knowledge of Document Info Records and SAP document management practices
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) environments
- Strong understanding of FFFC (Form, Fit, Function, and Compatibility) principles
- Exposure to greenfield SAP implementations
- Ability to work on-site weekly in St. Louis, MO (preferred) or Philadelphia, PA
- Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required
