Job DescriptionYou will be the Chief Engineer for the F-35 Development Software team which is responsible for delivering cutting-edge software solutions that enable mission-critical aircraft performance.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Chief Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight to the F-35 Software development effort, ensuring program milestones are met and technical excellence is maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Chief Engineer oversight to the F-35 Software development team for technical baseline approval, new capability introductions, and major milestone closures.
- Chair and co-chair technical boards and reviews (AWG, CERTWG, ETCB, ROMB, TRR, SRR, FRR, etc.).
- Engage in architecture definition, technology development, and insertion while emphasizing commonality and best practices.
- Ensure designs comply with Command Media, design standards, and contractual requirements.
- Establish strong relationships with functional engineers, suppliers, and government customers to resolve anomalies and technical issues.

EngineeringAeronautics
Basic Qualifications Experience establishing and enforcement of program specific Software Development Plan.
Understanding of Aero Software processes (PM-4001) and it's program tailoring process.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to interface with government, program management and airworthiness representatives.
Desired skills In depth knowledge of F-35 Software Development Plan.
Experience within an F-35 Software Domain
Knowledge of F-35 Software build and release process.
Experience with F-35 Software airworthiness process.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $189,000 - $327,635. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
