Primary Skill: Oracle EPM Freeform and Essbase (ASO/BSO).
Secondary Skill: EPBCS / PBCS, FCCS, and related Oracle EPM Cloud modules
Role Summary
The Senior Oracle EPM Freeform Architect will lead the design, build, and implementation of Oracle EPM Freeform solutions, supporting enterprise-scale financial planning, forecasting, and analytical use cases. This role is responsible for architecting Freeform models, migrating legacy Essbase applications, integrating upstream and downstream systems (FCCS, Anaplan, ERP), and ensuring scalable, governed, and highperformance EPM solutions.
The architect will work closely with FP&A, Finance, and IT stakeholders and provide technical leadership across implementation, transition, and sustainment phases.
Key Responsibilities
Core Technical Skills
- 8 12+ years of experience in Oracle EPM / Hyperion technologies.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle EPM Freeform and Essbase (ASO/BSO).
- Experience with EPBCS / PBCS, FCCS, and related Oracle EPM Cloud modules.
- Strong integration experience using EPM Automate, REST APIs, ODI/Informatica, and file-based integrations.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Own endtoend solution architecture for Oracle EPM Freeform, including cube design (ASO/BSO concepts), dimensional modeling, and calculation frameworks.
- Design Freeform applications to support complex planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, and reporting use cases for FP&A and Finance teams.
- Lead migration of onprem Essbase cubes and Excel-based models into Oracle EPM Freeform Cloud.
Implementation & Delivery Leadership
- Provide technical leadership across build, test, deployment, and transition to sustainment.
- Drive solution design workshops, technical deep dives, and architecture reviews with business and IT stakeholders.
- Guide offshore and onsite teams, review design artifacts, and ensure adherence to Oracle and enterprise architecture standards.
