OverviewThe Radio System Administrator is responsible for the management, configuration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the organization's Motorola mission-critical radio communications systems. This role ensures 24/7 operational reliability of emergency land mobile radio (ELMR) infrastructure supporting dispatch, security operations, emergency response, and interoperability with public safety agencies. The administrator servers as the technical authority for system programming, encryption management, life-cycle planning, and regulatory compliance.
QualificationsRequired:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience administering Radio System or RF technology
Preferred :
- Motorola System certification (Mototrbo, Radio mangement, Astro P25)
- Avtec System Administration Certification
- Experience supporting public safety or corporate security operations
- Knowledge of dispatch console system and logging recorders
- Experience with interoperability solutions and ISSI/CSSI connections
- Project management experience for system upgrades or expansions

- Experience with encryption management( AES, DES-OFB, OTAR)
- Strong Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work on-call for critical system outages
