AI Application Engineer (Agentic Frameworks)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking an AI Application Engineer (Agentic Frameworks) for a remote contract role - 6 month duration.

About the Role:
We are seeking an innovative AI Application Engineer to help design and build next-generation software solutions powered by AI and agentic frameworks. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on software engineer who enjoys working across the full stack, embraces emerging AI technologies, and is passionate about delivering scalable, production-ready applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent applications, modernize software delivery practices, and leverage cloud-native technologies to create impactful business solutions.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled applications and services
* Build and integrate solutions using modern agentic and AI frameworks
* Develop full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web technologies
* Implement infrastructure as code and support cloud-based deployments
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
* Ensure applications meet high standards for quality, performance, security, and scalability
* Drive observability, monitoring, automated testing, and proactive troubleshooting efforts
* Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong understanding of full-stack application development
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps methodologies
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar technologies
* Passion for emerging AI technologies and intelligent application development
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Professional experience developing software applications using:
* Python
* JavaScript
* TypeScript
* HTML/CSS

Preferred:
* Experience working with AI agent frameworks and AI-driven application architectures
* Experience building and supporting production-grade cloud applications
* Knowledge of application security, observability, and automated testing frameworks

Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including:
* ECS
* EKS
* MSK
* AWS Pipelines and related services

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
