Project Overview
This opportunity involves providing SAP Business Intelligence support within an enterprise environment, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP BI landscapes. The role focuses on delivering end-to-end BI solutions, including reporting, analytics, data integration, and ongoing system support for critical business operations.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal SAP BI Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP BI environments to support enterprise-level reporting, analytics, and data integration initiatives. This role involves end-to-end ownership of BI solutions, including design, development, optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize SAP BI reporting and analytics solutions across S/4HANA, ECC, and BI landscapes
- Build dashboards and reports using HANA/CDS, BEx, and BOBJ tools
- Develop data models and manage data extraction/integration from SAP and non-SAP sources
- Perform performance tuning using ABAP, AMDP, and SQL; troubleshoot reporting and data issues
- Manage data loading, process chains, and scheduling while ensuring data quality and integrity
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders
- Prepare technical documentation and support testing, deployment, and change management
- Conduct user training and ensure adherence to SAP BI best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in SAP BI/BW (7.4+ exp) with strong exposure to S/4HANA analytics
- Proficiency in HANA/CDS, AMDP, BEx, and BOBJ tools
- Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
- Experience with ABAP in BI and performance optimization
- Familiarity with SAP UI5/FIORI (preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Candidate should be eligible to work in the US
- Candidate must be able to support 6 weeks per year onsite work in Washington, DC
- Ability to work in a federal environment and coordinate with US-based stakeholders
