Our client is seeking a DataOps Manager for their team. The DataOps DevOps Manager leads the strategy, automation, and operational excellence of their modern data platform. This role ensures that Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and Power BI operate as a reliable, scalable, and secure ecosystem. The manager drives DevOps best practices, builds automation frameworks, and partners with engineering, analytics, and business teams to accelerate delivery, improve data quality, and reduce operational friction across the entire data lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a DevOps strategy that supports scalable, automated, and secure data operations across Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and Power BI.
- Lead and mentor the DevOps and DataOps engineering teams, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics assets, ensuring consistent and high-quality deployments.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to manage data environments, enforce configuration standards, and streamline environment provisioning.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks to ensure pipeline health, data quality, and platform performance.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT Security to enforce governance, access controls, and compliance across the data ecosystem.
- Drive root-cause analysis and long-term remediation for platform, pipeline, and deployment issues.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, automation patterns, and DevOps methodologies to enhance platform reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with enterprise data strategy and operational priorities.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational standards to support knowledge sharing, governance, and onboarding.
- Leverage AI and Data Science capabilities to improve data reliability, automate data quality checks, and enable advanced analytics and machine learning use cases across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven leadership experience in DevOps, DataOps, or cloud data platform operations.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and modern ELT workflows.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and deployment automation.
- Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Deep understanding of cloud security, access management, and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, improve processes, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Salary: $150,000-$170,000 with 5%-25% variable profit sharing. Plus benefits.
