Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, cloud data platforms, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and technical leadership to develop modern data solutions that support enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse architectures using Snowflake.

• Define data architecture strategies, standards, and best practices.

• Develop scalable data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Design and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and materialized views.

• Implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and cloud-based integration tools.

• Leverage Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Dynamic Tables.

• Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and overall Snowflake costs.

• Implement data security, governance, access controls, masking policies, and row-level security.

• Integrate Snowflake with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud services.

• Design data lakehouse and modern cloud data platform solutions.

• Establish data quality, metadata management, lineage, and governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and mentorship to development teams.

Required Technical Skills

• 8–12+ years of experience in data warehousing and data architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.

• Expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.

• Strong SQL and advanced SQL programming skills.

• Experience with dimensional modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.

• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration frameworks.

• Experience with Python and scripting.

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or Matillion.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• SnowPro Advanced Architect or SnowPro Core certification.

• Experience with dbt and modern data transformation frameworks.

• Experience with Databricks and cloud data lake architectures.

• Knowledge of Kafka and real-time data streaming.

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data migration solutions.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
