Job Description:

The Senior Software Engineer OutSystems Development role helps lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise web applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on high-quality delivery, scalable OutSystems architecture, and production reliability within a collaborative Agile environment.

Job Responsibilities: -

• Play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of OutSystems Reactive Web applications, offering leadership and guidance to the OutSystems development team
• Architect and implement OutSystems application patterns, including integration with REST/SOAP APIs as the primary data sources.
• Work with Digital Solutions Engineering management to define and guide development standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for OutSystems development within the team.
• Use OutSystems databases strategically for caching and temporary data storage.
• Implement responsive UI using OutSystems, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented OutSystems code.
• Optimize OutSystems applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to refine application requirements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide status updates using Jira or similar tools.
• Contribute to technical documentation and application specifications.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex application issues.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Qualifications: -

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience.
• OutSystems Professional Developer Certification preferred.
• Experience integrating OutSystems with REST/SOAP APIs as primary data sources.
• Strong understanding of OutSystems architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git or similar source control system required.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Ability to work independently and deliver solutions with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and OutSystems deployment practices.
• Awareness of OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) preferred.
• Experience implementing enterprise authentication using Okta, OAuth, or SAML.
• Experience with OutSystems Service Studio, Integration Studio, and LifeTime.
• Strong experience designing and building OutSystems Reactive Web applications.
• Minimum 3 years of professional OutSystems development experience (Reactive Web).
