Job Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Sales Executive (Mid-Market) to lead new business acquisition efforts for Vasquez, our innovative health insurance distribution and management platform. This role is for a seasoned sales professional who thrives in dynamic environments and possesses deep experience selling to mid-sized organizations.
As a key revenue driver, you will own the entire sales cycle from initial outreach through close while targeting insurance brokerages, third-party administrators (TPAs), and agencies seeking modern, scalable solutions. This position requires a results-oriented individual who is equally skilled at strategic prospecting and insight-driven closing.
Ideal candidates are self-starters who can manage multiple sales processes concurrently, execute against ambitious quotas, and build strong, enduring relationships with stakeholders across operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Mid-Market Sales & Strategy
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage mid-market brokerages, agencies, MGAs, and TPAs.
- Maintain a robust and healthy pipeline through consistent lead generation and opportunity management.
- Accurately forecast revenue opportunities and report pipeline metrics through CRM and sales enablement tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Solution Alignment
- Conduct consultative sales conversations with operational and executive stakeholders.
- Tailor product demonstrations and proposals to align with client workflows, business models, and goals.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles with clarity and confidence, ensuring value is communicated at every stage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership to refine messaging, enhance campaigns, and accelerate go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide ongoing insights from the field to inform product development, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Partner with the Account Management team to support strategic upsell or cross-sell opportunities as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of B2B software sales experience.
- At least 2 years of experience selling to mid-market clients, typically within the $25K $100K ACV range.
- Demonstrated sales success in the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Proven ability to self-source leads, manage multiple sales processes simultaneously, and close deals independently.
- Proficiency in managing value-driven sales conversations.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and modern sales tools (e.g., ZoomInfo).
- Familiarity with procurement processes and legal/compliance considerations in the healthcare or insurance industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into insurance distribution organizations such as brokers, TPAs, agencies, or MGAs.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Challenger, or Sandler.
- Prior success in a startup or growth-stage SaaS environment.
- Exposure to client success or post-sale expansion processes.
