Position Title: Director, Product Line Lead, Finance (SAP)
Location: Mexico City / Remote (Expected to travel approximately 25% of the time.)
Reports to: Director, Senior Finance Solutions Lead
This is a Contract-to-Hire Position.

Position Summary
The Director, Product Line Lead is accountable for the vision, strategy, value and performance of the Finance product line. The role leads multiple product teams through Product Managers, sets the multi-year roadmap, and ensures the line delivers measurable business outcomes aligned with corporate goals.
The Finance product line covers Accounting (Record to Report), Tax, Treasury and Capex on SAP. Working with Finance leadership, Financial Planning and Consolidation, IT architecture and implementation partners across Mexico, the United States, Italy and New Zealand, the Director influences business and IT leaders to adopt leading practices and positions the team for the capabilities the business will need next.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Value
- Set the vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Finance product line, expressed as business outcomes and supported by data.
- Build funding models and business cases for new investments, and track realized benefits through usage, operational and financial metrics.
- Carry each strategic proposal to a next step with an owner and a date, and state clearly when an initiative will not proceed.
- Bring industry and technology insight to anticipate what the business will need next.
Executive Partnership & Influence
- Partner with Finance leadership as a trusted advisor on business problems, not only as a delivery channel.
- Engage early in planning and requirements so that solutions are shaped before they are built, and bring options when constraints arise.
- Align technical teams, leadership and stakeholders to a shared vision, supported by clear data and narrative.
- Communicate priorities, decisions, trade-offs and business-impacting incidents on a predictable cadence and in business language, tailoring the message to each audience.
Portfolio Orchestration
- Lead across all product teams in the line rather than within a single product, giving each Product Manager clear context, priorities and decision rights.
- Work with other Product Line Leads to refine the overall roadmap, manage cross-line dependencies and resolve competing priorities.
- Set outcome goals and metrics for the line, and review results with Product Managers and Product Owners.
- Work within operating constraints, focus effort on what can be controlled, and ensure the line operates effectively without day-to-day involvement from the Director.
Technology Direction & Next Capability
- Set the platform direction for the line with Architecture and development teams, including SAP S/4HANA evolution and connected finance platforms.
- Challenge solution designs, estimates and trade-offs with enough technical depth to make sound decisions, without acting as the hands-on configurator.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities and emerging technologies, and position the team ahead of them with named champions, learning plans and practical demonstrations.
Financial & Partner Management
- Own the product line budget, including licensing, implementation partner and vendor spend.
- Hold implementation partners and contractors to clear quality, value and delivery standards.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach and develop Product Managers, setting clear objectives and written success definitions for every team member, employee or contractor.
- Build successors for key areas and reduce single-person dependencies across the line.
- Hire deliberately for fit as well as skill, and partner with HR on upskilling and training.
- Address difficult issues early and factually, and seek and act on feedback about own leadership effectiveness.
- Build an inclusive team environment that bridges cultures and locations across Mexico, the United States, Italy and New Zealand.
Role-Specific Requirements: Finance Product Line
Experience
- 15+ years in corporate IT environments, delivering solutions aligned with business strategy.
- 8+ years leading technology teams, including leading managers or Product Managers.
- 12+ years delivering technology solutions in Finance areas (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Capex) in an agile product management framework.
- 10+ years with SAP finance solutions (on-premise and cloud).
- Proven success leading multiple complex programs at a global level.
Required Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of Finance processes across Accounting (Record to Report), Tax, Treasury and Capex.
- Portfolio-level expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (on-premise and cloud) and connected finance platforms and integrations.
- Architectural literacy sufficient to challenge solution designs, estimates and trade-offs.
- Implementation partner and system integrator management.
- Product portfolio management and agile delivery at scale.
- Budget, business case and benefits management.
Preferred Technical Skills
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- Agile at scale or product portfolio management certification.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven experience leading managers and product teams, and building bench strength and succession.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive business and IT leadership and to align them to a shared product vision.
- Experience leading globally distributed internal teams and external implementation partners.
- Advanced English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Ability to lead responsible adoption of AI and emerging capabilities, following company controls, policies and risk management guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food and beverage or CPG industry experience.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Aha!
Location and Travel Requirements
- Based in Mexico City.
- Expected to travel approximately 25% of the time.
