Pega - Lead System Architect

Location: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Payrate: $80/hr-88/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a Pega - Lead System Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will work across technology to create solutions that align with the organization's cloud strategy. This role involves designing and implementing new software solutions, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing software while ensuring code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across technology to create solutions aligned with cloud strategy.
  • Perform product design activities as required.
  • Design and implement new software solutions for cloud enablement.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software.
  • Ensure code adheres to standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices, and performance.
  • Write and conduct unit and integration tests.
  • Communicate within a software development team of developers, quality assurance, and project management.
  • Participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in Cloud Engineering (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with writing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience building and working with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of Terraform Enterprise, Private Module Registry, and Terraform Sentinel.
  • Knowledge of Azure Networking components like Firewall, Proxy, PDR, VWAN.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure Policy, Azure Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins.
  • Experience with general programming languages such as Java or Python.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and test-driven development.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, or Salt.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with identity management frameworks and tools.
  • Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.
  • Experience with Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience with the Go programming language.
  • Cloud provider certification (e.g., Azure certification AZ-900).
  • Experience with architecting software solutions.
