Description
We are looking for a skilled Deployment Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of software systems, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing detailed technical documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of deployment processes, scripting, and system integration, as well as a willingness to learn new skills, including French. Responsibilities:
Develop detailed technical documentation, including functional requirements, user manuals, and installation guides, to support deployment processes.
Plan and execute deployment activities, establish project timelines, and estimate costs to ensure smooth implementation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical specifications, including hardware and software requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential deployment challenges.
Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams for effective use and maintenance of deployed systems.
Participate in integration testing to identify and resolve bugs and issues, ensuring seamless system functionality.
Work closely with development teams to address change requests and implement solutions during user testing.
Maintain clear and regular communication with project stakeholders through progress reports and activity updates.
Create and utilize diagrams, such as sequence and data flow diagrams, to illustrate software architecture.
Ensure proper handling of executable files and familiarity with deployment tools and processes.
Requirements
Proven experience in deploying software systems and working with Windows-based operating systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages and tools, including Oracle SQL scripting and C# programming.
Familiarity with databases such as Oracle DB and Microsoft Server.
Strong understanding of deployment tools and application deployment processes.
Ability to create technical documentation, including diagrams and manuals.
Experience with QA testing and resolving bugs during integration and user testing phases.
Knowledge of Active Directory and code repositories.
Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results while being open to learning new skills.
