Position : QA Manager with AI/ML
Location : Englewood, NJ / Berkeley Heights , NJ
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives for AI/ML-powered products and platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong software testing expertise with an understanding of machine learning systems, data quality, model validation, and AI governance. This role will oversee QA strategy, test automation, quality processes, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and trustworthy AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership
- Define and execute QA strategy, standards, and best practices for AI/ML applications.
- Lead, mentor, and manage QA engineers and test automation teams.
- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the software development lifecycle.
AI/ML Testing & Validation
- Develop test strategies for machine learning models, data pipelines, and AI-driven applications.
- Validate model performance, accuracy, robustness, fairness, and reliability.
- Design and execute testing for model drift, bias detection, explainability, and edge cases.
- Ensure data quality through validation of training, testing, and production datasets.
- Collaborate with data scientists to establish model acceptance criteria.
Test Automation & Engineering
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs, web applications, and AI services.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee performance, security, scalability, and regression testing activities.
- Implement monitoring and quality checks for production AI systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Data Scientists, and DevOps teams.
- Participate in requirements reviews and risk assessments.
- Communicate quality risks, test results, and release readiness to stakeholders.
- Support compliance, audit, and governance requirements for AI systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of experience managing QA teams.
- Experience testing AI/ML, data-driven, or analytics applications.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with API testing, database testing, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, and scripting for test automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
