Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, API testing, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks and working in Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend applications.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable and scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Perform API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, and defect management.
• Execute regression and smoke testing across multiple environments.
• Maintain test automation documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
• Support performance, security, and integration testing activities when required.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in QA/Test Automation.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Strong experience developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with REST API/SOAP testing and tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Strong SQL/database testing skills.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, or similar testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git and source-control practices.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
• Mobile automation using Appium.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience with Kafka/event-driven application testing.
• Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.

Certifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
