Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly technical Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex IT infrastructure initiatives while directly supporting construction-related infrastructure projects. This role sits at the intersection of IT, networking, data center, and facilities construction, ensuring infrastructure deployments are technically aligned with building readiness, construction schedules, and operational standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing projects involving networking, structured cabling, data centers, power, space, cooling, and physical site readiness.

Responsibilities:
* Manage construction-aligned infrastructure workstreams, ensuring IT requirements are integrated into building and renovation schedules
* Coordinate closely with construction managers, facilities, electricians, low-voltage vendors, and IT engineering teams
* Develop and maintain detailed technical project plans, including milestones, dependencies, cutover windows, and risk mitigation strategies
* Validate site readiness (power, grounding, cooling, pathways, rack space, access) prior to IT installation activities
* Lead technical status reviews, change management discussions, and cross-team dependency tracking
Identify and mitigate risks related to ensure proper documentation of designs, as-built diagrams, installation standards, and operational handoff materials

REQUIREMENTS:
* PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
* Experience supporting new site builds, site expansions, or major renovations
* Familiarity with rack elevations, cabling diagrams, and network design documentation
* Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (utilities, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector)
* Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Construction-adjacent IT PM
* Experience managing projects that span IT infrastructure and physical construction environments
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and construction plans

Strong technical understanding of:
* Enterprise networking concepts (switching, wireless, WAN)
* Structured cabling standards (copper and fiber)
* Data center/MDF/IDF environments
* Power, cooling, and physical infrastructure dependencies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
