Location: Houston area preferred; remote candidates will be considered
Estimated pay: $70–$80 per hour

Lead the SAP architecture roadmap for an enterprise transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. You’ll guide design decisions across internal teams and delivery partners, align the program with enterprise standards and a multi-cloud strategy, and explain architectural risks and trade-offs to senior business and IT leaders. This contract is through a staffing partner and supports a third-party customer.

What you’ll do

• Own the SAP architecture direction and roadmap throughout the ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation.
• Align SAP decisions with enterprise standards, TOGAF-based governance, and the organization’s multi-cloud strategy.
• Review architecture designs and decisions from program teams, system integrators, and other delivery partners.
• Partner with the Integration Architect on SAP interfaces, data flows, system dependencies, and integration patterns.
• Advise on how SAP supports enterprise data architecture, data governance, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Guide planning across teams and communicate decisions, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to business and IT leadership.

Required qualifications

• Senior-level SAP architecture experience, including direct experience with an ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation.
• Working knowledge of TOGAF and enterprise architecture governance.
• Familiarity with SAP integration tooling and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Ability to guide architecture and planning across multiple teams and delivery partners.
• Clear communication with senior business and IT leaders.

Strongly preferred

• Utilities industry experience.
• Experience overseeing architecture work performed by system integrators or other delivery partners.
