Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.This role focuses on automating test cases for post-trade back-office and trade flow processes within a Capital Markets environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing automation frameworks and scripts using Python or Java, coupled with strong SQL and a deep understanding of Fixed Income and Derivatives. You will be a key member of an agile team, responsible for ensuring the quality of complex data flows between various applications.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with development teams to review stories, vet new feature requirements, and estimate automation efforts
- Input test plans and scenarios into Xray and convert them into automated test scripts
- Perform impact assessments of all business requirements and any changes
- Maintain test artifacts including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD implementation, execution, and reporting
Requirements:- 5-7 years of experience in application development or automation framework development using Python or Java
- Strong knowledge and coding experience in Python or Java to automate test cases for post-trade back office and trade flow
- Strong working knowledge of SQL to write complex queries
- 2 years of working knowledge developing test automation scripts for post-trade Fixed Income Capital Markets data lineage
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks
- Prior experience working as a QE/SDET in agile/scrum teams
- Strong working knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives BackOffice Testing and Capital Market experience
- Ability to understand complex data flows between various internal and external applications
- Demonstrated ability to identify and report risks and issues
