Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Test Manager for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Project Test Manager will lead all testing activities for a complex, cross-functional project, ensuring high-quality delivery and readiness for production. This role is responsible for defining the testing strategy, developing detailed test plans, coordinating test execution across internal teams and vendors, and ensuring defects are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and experience managing testing for large-scale programs.
Responsibilities: - Lead all testing activities for a complex, cross-functional project, ensuring high-quality delivery and readiness for production
- Define the testing strategy, develop detailed test plans, coordinate test execution across internal teams and vendors, and ensure defects are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner
- Oversee functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, ensuring all requirements are validated and risks are mitigated
- Drive testing governance, reporting, and communication to project leadership, ensuring transparency into progress, issues, and overall quality
- Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, and so on)
- Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
- Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables
- Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
- Gather/facilitate status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
- Ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders
- Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards
- Support resource planning for delivery/execution
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in software testing, QA leadership, or test management for medium to large technology projects
- Proven experience developing and executing test strategies and test plans, including functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, coordinating testers, developers, business partners, and vendors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including defect triage and risk management
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities, including test metrics, quality dashboards, and leadership updates
- Ability to manage multiple testing streams in parallel while maintaining quality and timelines
- Understanding of automation frameworks and how manual and automated testing integrate (direct automation experience optional but beneficial)
- Familiarity with compliance, security, or regulatory testing
- Primary Skill: Functional/Manual Testing
- Secondary Skill: Agile tools (Jira)

Pay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hour
