Job Title: Data Engineering - Architecture (Snowflake) BI Consultant
Duration: Long Term
Location: Dallas, Texas - Remote (Must be based in US) with potential travel
Work Mode: Remote (Must be based in US) with potential travel
Manager Note:
  • Must have some travel required to client locations
    • Travel expenses will be reimbursed
  • Consultant preferred to Texas Locations or CST
Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering - Architecture (Snowflake) BI Consultant to design and deliver modern data and analytics solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will build scalable data pipelines, architect Snowflake data platforms, develop Power BI dashboards, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting and insights.
Description:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines into Snowflake.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models using Data Vault and Dimensional Modeling techniques.
  • Improve Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, warehouse optimization, and storage best practices.
  • Implement data security, RBAC, data masking, and governance standards.
  • Design and develop enterprise Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
  • Create advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
  • Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, Premium capacities, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and establish data engineering and BI best practices.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Support CI/CD processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • 13+ years of experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering and automation.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, dbt, Airflow or Prefect, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic models, deployment pipelines, and RLS.
  • Experience implementing Medallion Architecture and data governance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
  • Snowflake SnowPro, Microsoft PL-300, DP-600, or similar cloud/data certifications are preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
EDUCATION
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
