Job Description:
About this role: Senior VMware / Hypervisor Engineer focused on Windows Server and PowerShell automation, responsible for operating and maintaining mission‑critical private cloud infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will be responsible for design, implementation and administration of production Windows and VMware environments worldwide. Extensive knowledge of VMware products and Windows Server (2012R2 through 2022), experience and skill in automation, capacity planning, performance monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting are essential.
MUST HAVES:
- VMware ESXi

- Hyper‑V
- Private Cloud (NOT AWS)
- Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Powershell Scripting, power CLI
Role Need (Very Important)
- Primary need is a senior‑level VMware / Hypervisor Engineer — not junior, minimum 8-9 yrs of experience
- VMware Esxi is the primary skillset
- Experience with other hypervisors (e.g., Hyper‑V)
- Role covers virtual machines, virtualization infrastructure, system‑level administration, and a strong automation mindset
- PowerShell depth is required,
This role is a Senior Infrastructure / Site Reliability Engineer focused on VMware and Windows, responsible for keeping a private cloud environment reliable, scalable, automated, and stable 24/7.
This is infrastructure SRE, not application SRE or DevOps.
What the Engineer Will Actually Own
- VMware vSphere (6.x+) and vCenter (hands-on ownership)
- Virtual machines and virtualization infrastructure
- Windows Server environments (2012 R2 → 2022)
- Core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS
- Automation using PowerShell / PowerCLI
- Capacity planning, performance tuning, preventive maintenance
- Production incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems
- Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation
Skills: A senior VMware / hypervisor engineer who:
- Has deep, hands-on VMware experience (this is the core skill)
- Understands virtualization at the infrastructure and system level
- Has supported mission‑critical, always‑on environments
- Is comfortable owning production reliability end to end
- Thinks in terms of automation and operational efficiency
- VMware expertise is non‑negotiable.
