Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Operations Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role leads enterprise network operations with a focus on reliability, service excellence, and continuous improvement. The position also manages teams, oversees day-to-day operations, and partners across IT to ensure stable, secure, and scalable network services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Network Operations Manager will lead and manage network operations teams, including engineers, site reliability engineers, and external partners, with clear accountability and people development
* Own the operational health of enterprise network services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
* Act as the operational lead during major incidents, coordinating response efforts and driving timely resolution
* Conduct post-incident reviews, ensuring root causes are identified and improvements are implemented
* Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including service levels, performance reviews, and escalations
* Partner with IT leadership on operational planning, capacity forecasting, and resource strategy
* As a Network Operations Manager, you will provide technical oversight to ensure operations align with architectural standards and best practices
* Support the transition of new network technologies and designs into operational support
* Monitor service and performance metrics to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities
* Establish and maintain operational processes, runbooks, escalation paths, and support models
* Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet operational security and audit standards
* Participate in cross-functional operational reviews and governance forums

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
* 10+ years in network operations, infrastructure, or related technical environments
* 5+ years in a people management or operational leadership role
* Experience leading enterprise network operations across LAN/WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments
* Proven experience managing vendors, service providers, and contractor teams
* Experience leading incident response, operational readiness, and service improvement initiatives
* Technical knowledge (Oversight Level)
* Strong foundational understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN)
* Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
* Working knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC)
* Understanding of monitoring, automation, and reliability practices in large-scale environments

* Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing third-party providers and executive-level relationships
* People Management: Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Able to clearly communicate operational status and risks to senior leadership
* Continuous Improvement Mindset: Focus on process maturity, automation, and operational excellence
* Operational Leadership: Ability to lead teams responsible for 24x7 enterprise network operations
* Service Reliability & Risk Management: Ability to anticipate operational risks and drive mitigation strategies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
