Description The cloud platform architect is responsible for designing and building out the infrastructure that will support the supported systems/applications operations. The systems architect ensures the design and build of the
infrastructure meets NIST and DOI security requirements. They are responsible for recommending new cloud services to better enhance the customers requirements. They are responsible for developing and implementing complex solutions to meet customer's needs utilizing AWS Commercial and GovCloud Native Services.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors in computer science or related field
- Must possess or be able to achieve a DOI Public Trust level of clearance.
- Must have 9 years of experience in understanding how to architect IT systems in an AWS cloud environment.
-Experience must include developing and implementing complex solutions to meet customer's needs utilizing AWS Commercial and GovCloud Native Services. This includes designing, deploying and configuring AWS Control Tower, Windows and Linux OS, AWS RDS, and custom alerts and triggers. This is a hands on position; not a management position.
- Must have current AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification.
-Must have experience with obtaining and maintaining a system's ATO and ensuring that the cloud environment is secure IAW NIST controls.
- Must have in-depth experience working directly with customers both Government and contractor personnel.
- Must have the ability to work independently in a remote atmosphere with proven track record doing so. Must have dedicated work area that offers privacy and stable internet.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly via written, oral, and virtual media.
-Must have experience supporting multiple projects/customers at once.
-Typical hours are 40 per week but must have the ability to surge to more hours during peak times requested by the customer with compensating time off.
-Experience with Department of Interior or Office of Wildland Fire is highly desired.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
