Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of assigned multi-state payrolls, including processing payments for bonuses, commissions, short term disability, new hires, termination payouts, pay increases, and transfers
- Assist with reviewing payrolls; identify errors and/or discrepancies and work with payroll coordinators to rectify
- Prepare payroll import files for additional pays, bonuses, commissions, awards, etc.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with HR, supervisors, and managers
- Ensure timely submission of payroll related data to meet deadlines
- Reconcile, balance, and submit wire requests for payroll/benefits funding
- Assist with audits by collecting backup for selected samples
- Prepare ad hoc reports on payroll related items and perform analysis of data as assigned or requested by management
- Assist with payroll tax related inquiries and resolutions as requested by management
- Provide ongoing assistance to users of payroll systems
- Participate on payroll system conversions and upgrade project teams
- Assist with year-end processes and W-2 distribution
General Summary:
Responsible for processing and reviewing multi-state payrolls to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies and government regulations. Ensures employees have proper tax jurisdiction setup and required forms. Analyzes and remits benefit deductions. Assists in preparing input for special payments. Works closely with management on issues and projects as assigned.
