Summary

Overview

The Senior Program Manager must be an energetic, proactive, self-motivated, and innovative individual that can demonstrate successful program management skills. This individual will be a collaborative team player and have a strong drive to deliver high quality outcomes to program stakeholders. This role is responsible for the monitoring and control of any IT sized projects and programs, contribute to the standardization of project/program management procedures and processes. The Senior Program Manager will have proven ability to handle multiple complex projects and have business and personnel management skills including the ability to establish and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project teams to ensure the timely completion of assigned project tasks
  • Perform day to day project/program management duties for any sized IT related projects
  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track
  • Regularly communicate project status to project stakeholders
  • Participate in project initiation and project planning activities for a variety of projects, including the development and validation of business cases
  • Develops project scope and facilitates requirements gathering and documentation
  • Evaluate potential problems and project risks, develops mitigation plans and alternate solutions
  • Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information
  • Manage project-related information by ensuring all necessary materials are current, accessible, and organized

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated success in project management experience required, much of this preferably in a medium to large IT organization
  • Experience leading IT Infrastructure projects preferred
  • Experience leading Cybersecurity projects preferred
  • Experience managing program financial and business cases
  • advanced proficiency with MS Office applications required
  • advanced proficiency with project management software (MS Project) preferred
  • Familiarity with PMP project management methodologies required
  • PMP certification required
  • Familiarity with operational frameworks such as ITIL
  • Good Problem Solving and Decision-Making processes is a plus
  • Ability to communicate openly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to maintain attention to details under pressure
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
