Senior Technical Program Manager

Location: Maryland Heights, Missouri (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager to lead a high-visibility, executive-level initiative. This role involves managing a fast-paced transformation of a Service Delivery Platform (SDP), which includes a suite of systems and middleware code. The objective is to reduce vendor reliance, accelerate delivery, simplify business processes, and lower operational overhead through automation and streamlined regression cycles. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader capable of guiding project managers, absorbing complex information, and communicating effectively with executive stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of project managers to drive a large-scale technical program.
  • Oversee the transformation of the Service Delivery Platform (SDP).
  • Manage executive-level communications and stakeholder reporting.
  • Work to reduce vendor reliance and accelerate project delivery timelines.
  • Simplify business processes and lower operational overhead through automation.
  • Guide and mentor a team of approximately five project managers.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Experience: Experience managing large technical programs is required. A background in development before moving into project management is beneficial for understanding the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Project and Jira is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing offshore project managers.
  • A technical background in software development or related fields.
  • Experience with AI-related projects or technologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or ITIL certifications are preferred but not required.
