SAP Test Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Create, define, and execute comprehensive SAP testing strategies (e.g., unit, integration, regression, UAT).
Test Execution Management: Own the end-to-end test lifecycle, from planning and scenario design to execution and final reporting.
Defect Management: Lead defect triage meetings, track, and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality, bug-free releases.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coordinate testing teams, including test analysts and testers.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide status updates, metrics, and risk assessments to the project management office (PMO) and project leadership.
Environment & Data Management: Coordinate with technical teams to set up necessary testing environments and data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as an SAP Test Manager or Lead, particularly in complex SAP environments like S/4HANA.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP modules and testing tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, SAP Focused Build).
Leadership: Strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Risk Management: Ability to identify risks, perform impact assessments, and drive mitigation strategies.

Typical Daily Tasks

Reviewing test documentation and test cases.
Conducting daily defect triage and status meetings.
Managing test team activities, including resource allocation.
Reporting testing progress to stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with established testing standards.
