Summary

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Fraud/Governance Tester to come join their team. Over the next year they are going to be testing a bunch of different areas that are very technical in nature and need individuals that come from a financial background and are strong in either of the following areas:
  • Strong Fraud and strong governance/testing background
  • Strong Fraud and Technical Knowledge

Description
Compliance Testing & Governance Oversight
Develop, execute, and document test plans, test scripts, and sampling methodologies for compliance and governance reviews.
Conduct design and operational effectiveness testing to assess alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Perform audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify compliance and governance risks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and monitor remediation progress.
Reporting & Communication
Communicate test results clearly during stakeholder meetings.
Prepare formal reports, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
Maintain accurate documentation of testing activities, results, and evidence.
Regulatory & Fraud Expertise
Leverage experience in Fraud Operations, including:
Fraud prevention and detection strategies
Fraud chargebacks and recovery
Reg E dispute handling
Stay informed on evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Process Review & Testing Support
Document business processes and perform detailed procedure and requirement reviews.
Support or conduct UAT, SIT, or QA testing as needed.
Assist in developing and enhancing governance policies and procedures.
Required Experience & Skills
Background in financial services (banking required-US or Canadian Financial Industry preferred).
Experience working in audit, compliance, second line of defense, or consulting roles.
Strong understanding of GRC frameworks and compliance testing methodologies.
Familiarity with regulations such as Reg E, and exposure to frameworks like SOX, GDPR, HIPAA is an asset.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
