Role Summary
This position involves providing 24/7 network operations support as part of a dedicated Network Operations Center team. It requires monitoring a complex enterprise environment comprising thousands of network devices, servers, and business applications. The role supports both production and non-production systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability through proactive troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage network and system performance across a large enterprise environment using tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Respond promptly to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and escalate incidents as needed to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and external customers to coordinate problem resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform routine system checks and investigations of network, hardware, and software issues, including application and infrastructure performance.
  • Keep detailed records of incidents and resolution steps using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure shift coverage and seamless handoffs between shifts.
  • Assist in implementing network security measures and support compliance with security policies.
  • Follow established operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of network and technology trends to improve operational efficiency.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a Network Operations Center or similar environment.
  • Strong Cisco networking skills, with knowledge of network protocols, connectivity, and security.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Availability to work a night shift from 8 pm to 6 am, Wednesday through Saturday.
  • Effective communication skills and strong team collaboration abilities.

Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
