Job Overview:
As a User Experience (UX) Research Contractor on the Experience Research team, you will independently scope and execute custom research across digital assets. This role focuses on enhancing digital experiences for various user groups, including customers, agents, adjusters, call center representatives, underwriters, and more. You will collaborate with software product development teams, including Product Owners, UX Product Designers, UX Content Strategists, business teams, and IT, to align business objectives with user needs. Your work will involve leading research projects, applying user research methods, and communicating insights to drive business decisions and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead complex research initiatives to define strategies for Auto, Property, and Specialty insurance experiences, enhancing user satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • Integrate insights from primary and secondary research, industry news, and operational data to champion end-user needs.
  • Build high-trust partnerships across teams and departments to foster collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead high-visibility research projects, collaborating with stakeholders such as UX, Product Owners, IT, and Analytics.
  • Conduct objective-setting and discovery processes, including user persona development and journey mapping.
  • Influence business partners to act on research insights by providing actionable recommendations and relevant business context.
  • Communicate findings effectively to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of UX Research experience in a corporate agile setting, or 3+ years with a Master's degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or Information Design (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise in qualitative research methods, including usability studies, interviews, focus groups, surveys, card sorts, and heuristic reviews.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data-driven storytelling and creating compelling narratives and visualizations.
  • Familiarity with research tools like Qualtrics and UserZoom, and methodologies such as Design Thinking and Lean UX.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team-building abilities.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay Range: $50 - $57.14/hour on W2
