Job Title: Software Engineer 4 / Lead AI Engineer (Agentic AI)
Location: Raleigh, NC/ Charlotte, NC (CIC) / Irving, TX - Hybrid (3 days onsite mandatory)
Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $69 - $74
Top Requirements:5-10 years of Software Engineering experience with 2+ years of Python developmentHands-on experience with Generative AI concepts (RAG, agent frameworks like LangChain/ADK)Strong understanding of SDLC, building scalable applications, and working in collaborative engineering environmentsPlusses:Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenShift)Experience with MLOps / LLMOps and AI model deploymentExperience with DevOps tools and CI/CD practicesFinancial services or regulated industry experienceBackground in cybersecurity or secure AI development practicesJob Summary:In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Design and develop generative AI-driven applications using LLMs and agentic workflows
- Build and prototype AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain and ADK
- Develop Python-based applications supporting enterprise AI use cases
- Implement RAG pipelines and integrate enterprise data into AI solutions
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to align with enterprise architecture standards
- Contribute to cloud-native application development across Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OpenShift
- Support MLOps/LLMOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of AI systems
- Identify and resolve technical challenges related to code, deployment, and performance
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
- Build demos and prototypes to showcase AI solutions for business stakeholders
- Work collaboratively in Agile teams, managing branches, code merges, and version control
- Ensure security, scalability, and compliance of AI-enabled solutions
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in AI capabilities across the organization
