Job Description

The IT Administrator's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Support day-to-day IT operations for the facilities and teams in the Boston area, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance of systems and services.
  • Act as the primary IT liaison for offices within the region where there are no dedicated IT staff, and as a backup IT liaison for other sites within the region - coordinating regional needs, priorities, and issue resolution with global IT teams and service providers.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between business stakeholders, global IT, regional vendors, and IT counterparts during interim and transitional periods.
  • Support interim IT operating models associated with divestiture activities, including shared systems, transitional services, and evolving ownership or responsibility boundaries.
  • Assist with system separation, access changes, infrastructure transitions, and documentation related to divestiture and resource transitions.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for end users across the Americas regions, including endpoints, collaboration platforms, identity and access services, network, security, and core business applications.
  • Partner with managed service providers delivering service desk, infrastructure, endpoint, and security services to ensure effective escalation, resolution, and service quality.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, site operations, and functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, systems, processes, and regional IT practices, including both interim and target-state operating models.
  • Contribute operational insights, risk identification, and improvement recommendations to global IT leadership as part of continuous improvement efforts.

The Successful Applicant

The IT Administrator will have the following experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science OR relevant experience
  • 3+ years (ideally 5+) IT Administration, infrastructure operations, or end user support experience
  • Experience supporting multiple offices and geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is HIGHLY preferred (either currently or in a previous position)
  • Strong foundation in IT infrastructure is a must
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management principles
  • Medical Device industry experience (or similar highly regulated industry experience) is preferred
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal is a must
