Role Overview
We are seeking a UX Design Lead to deliver a uniform and user-centric digital experience for a digital application that offers Training, Grading, and Analytics capabilities. This role will take ownership of the design for a grading and evaluation application used to observe and track the performance of pilots and mechanics. The ideal candidate will be a principal-level designer capable of mentoring other designers and working across both web and tablet mediums.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UX design process from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with and lead product designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, and guidelines to ensure consistency.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in UX design and/or development.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with developing or utilizing best practices in design systems, component libraries, and tokens. Experience in designing for both mobile and web applications.
Other: Must provide an online portfolio of case studies demonstrating strong visual design skill and user-centered design solutions. Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments. Strong understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. This position requires a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience in training applications or data visualization is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $75.00/hr - $85.00/hr. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, and location. Contract assignments may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
