Job Description

• Design and implement audio features using Android audio frameworks (AudioTrack, AudioRecord, MediaCodec, OpenSL ES, AAudio, etc.).

• Develop low-latency audio pipelines for recording and playback.

• Optimize audio performance, synchronization, and resource usage.

• Integrate audio processing algorithms such as noise suppression, echo cancellation, and equalization.

• Debug audio issues across different Android devices and OS versions.

• Collaborate with mobile developers, DSP engineers, and product teams.

• Ensure compatibility with Bluetooth, wired headsets, and external audio devices.

• Conduct testing and profiling for audio quality and latency.

• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin for Android development.

• Experience with Android audio APIs and media frameworks.

• Knowledge of audio fundamentals (sampling, bit depth, codecs, latency).

• Understanding of real-time audio processing and threading.

• Familiarity with debugging tools such as ADB, Systrace, and Android Profiler.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Audio Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with C/C++ and Android NDK for audio processing.

• Knowledge of DSP concepts and audio codecs (AAC, Opus, MP3).

• Experience with VoIP, streaming, or music production apps.

• Familiarity with Bluetooth audio protocols and audio HAL layers.

• Exposure to cross-platform audio frameworks (JUCE, Superpowered, etc.).
