Job DetailsWe are seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on commercial construction projects, developing accurate budgets and cost analyses to drive successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and construction documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Develop budgets, schedules, and cost projections for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work
- Perform value management to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining project quality
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure scope coverage and competitiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and suppliers
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets
- Prepare and execute subcontract agreements and final contract estimates
- Collaborate with ownership, design teams, and project management throughout preconstruction
Qualifications
- ~5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating within a general contractor environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software, including Destiny (Beck Technology) preferred
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with budgeting, takeoffs, and cost analysis across multiple project types
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work across teams
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, team oriented environment
