Remote
Position Summary
The QA / Test Analyst owns the testing workstream for the migration. Starting with the UKG testing-strategy
workshops, the analyst defines the test approach, builds test plans and scenarios traced to the Requirements
Traceability Matrix, runs functional, integration, conversion and parallel payroll testing, manages defects, and
coordinates UAT through UCLA's go-live authorization. The Product SME and Integration Developer unit-test their
own work; everything from system testing onward is this role's responsibility.
Knockout Criteria (in priority order submittal must address each)
1. Planned and ran parallel payroll testing (WFC vs. Pro WFM or equivalent pay-to-pay comparison) with variance analysis.
2. Tested at least one UKG Pro WFM implementation or WFC ? Pro WFM migration, including configuration and interface testing.
3. Strong SQL and Excel skills used for record-count and field-level reconciliation of conversion loads and interfaces.
4. Built requirement-traced test plans and managed defects in a tracking tool (Jira/Xray, Azure DevOps or ALM).
Key Responsibilities
Test strategy: participate in UKG testing-strategy workshops; own UCLA's test strategy, UAT acceptance procedure, entry/exit criteria and acceptance criteria.
Test planning: develop test plans, test cases, scenarios and testing workbooks with expected results, traced to the RTM owned by the Product SME.
Functional testing: run system and functional tests of Pro WFM configuration pay rules, work rules, overtime, rounding, holidays, accruals, attendance, leave, schedules, security profiles and timecard
workflows.
Integration and conversion testing: test inbound and outbound interfaces (UCPath, Maximo, clocks) and data conversion loads, including record counts, field-level reconciliation and error handling.
Parallel payroll: plan and run parallel testing comparing WFC and Pro WFM results (hours, pay codes, accrual balances); analyze and document variances with Payroll.
Regression: build and run regression suites for defect fixes and UKG release updates during the project; use API-level checks where practical.
Defect management: log, track, prioritize and retest defects; report test progress and quality metrics to the project team.
UAT: coordinate UAT with UCLA HR, Payroll, timekeepers and managers prepare test data and scripts, facilitate sessions, collect sign-off.
Go-live: support cutover validation and stabilization testing.

migration.

union/CBA rules.
Experience planning and running SIT, UAT and parallel payroll testing, including pay-to-pay comparisons
and testing workbooks with scenarios and expected results.
