Job Description

An accomplished Power BI expert with extensive experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing business intelligence solutions for enterprise environments. Highly skilled in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure robust data governance and granular access control across diverse user groups. Demonstrates deep proficiency in complex data integrations and incremental refresh, seamlessly connecting disparate data sources including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems to create unified, actionable datasets.

Leads end-to-end dataflow upgrades and ongoing maintenance, ensuring data pipelines are reliable, scalable, and aligned with evolving business requirements. Adept at enhancing performance and data refresh strategies through troubleshooting and best practices.

Possesses a strong background in configuring and managing Power BI gateways and complex dataflows that feed multiple apps and reports. Implement industry best practices to maximize data connectivity, minimize downtime, and ensure secure, high-performance data access between on-premises sources and the Power BI service. Recognized for delivering solutions that balance technical excellence with user-centric design, empowering organizations to drive data-driven decision-making at every level.

Core Competencies & Experience:

Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation and optimization

• Complex data integration from multiple and varied sources with incremental refresh
• Multi-dataflow upgrades, monitoring, and maintenance
• Measure management (+100 integrated measures)
• Power BI gateway configuration and best practices
• Enterprise-scale BI solution architecture including version control and automated deployment flows
• Advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and governance for PowerBI deployments in the cloud
• Data cleanup, transformation, and ETL pipeline development
• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Agile Scrum methodology and prioritization

Key Languages & Platforms

• Expert in DAX and measure optimization
• Integrations and reporting experience using Snowflake, Azure, Fabric
• Relational databases deploying star schemas
• Automation deployments on Fabric and PowerApps
• Snowflake, ASQL, or AWS data connections and data flows
• Experience with Python or SQL

Nice to have Competencies:

• R in PowerBI
• Integrations on MLOps in AWS or MicroStrategy
• Custom visualization builds in VS Code
