Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Data Modeler with advanced proficiency in data modeling tools, particularly ERWin. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in collaborating with BI/Analytics teams to understand requirements and translating them into robust Dimensional and Relational Models. The Senior Data Modeler will lead source data discovery efforts and design models adhering to industry-wide best practices, ensuring scalability without increased demand and maintaining consistency.

Responsibilities:

Data Modeling:

Develop and maintain advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data models using cutting-edge tools, with a strong focus on ERWin.

Implement best practices for designing models that support both Dimensional and Relational data structures.

Collaboration with BI/Analytics:

Work closely with BI and Analytics teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models that support analytical and reporting needs.

Collaborate on the development of data solutions to enhance business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Data Discovery:

Lead source data discovery efforts to understand and document data lineage, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of data sources and their relationships.

Develop strategies for integrating diverse data sources into cohesive and scalable models.

Industry-Wide Best Practices:

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data modeling, ensuring that models align with evolving standards and methodologies.

Implement and advocate for industry-wide best practices for data modeling, ensuring models are scalable, maintainable, and consistent.

Performance Optimization:

Collaborate with database administrators and developers to optimize database performance based on the data models.

Conduct performance tuning activities to enhance query performance and overall system efficiency.

Quality Assurance and Documentation:

Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of data models to identify and address potential issues.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and metadata.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Extensive experience as a Data Modeler, with a focus on ERWin and advanced data modeling.
• Proven experience collaborating with BI/Analytics teams to deliver effective data models.
• Expertise in source data discovery and integration strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of industry-wide best practices for scalable and consistent data models.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with both Dimensional and Relational data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with big data technologies, Unstructured Datasets, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience mentoring and leading a team of data modelers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
