Our client is seeking a Program Manager/Release Train Engineer in Cary, NC / Hybrid.
Responsibilities
The Program Manager will lead enterprise-level initiatives to migrate Informatica-based Master Data Management (MDM) and ETL processes from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud platform (e.g., Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services - IICS, IDMC).
Skills & Requirements
This role requires strong technical expertise in Informatica tools, cloud migration strategies, and program governance.
Program Leadership
Drive end-to-end migration strategy for Informatica on-prem to cloud, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of migration projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
Manage multiple workstreams including data migration, code refactoring, and integration with cloud services.
Technical Oversight
Assess current Informatica environment (PowerCenter, MDM, IDQ) and define migration roadmap.
Collaborate with architects to design target cloud architecture leveraging Informatica IDMC/IICS.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during migration.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between business units, technical teams, and vendors.
Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
Governance & Risk Management
Implement governance frameworks and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments; run ceremonies and drive accountability.
Provide guidance and support to technical leads and migration specialists.
10+ years in Program/Delivery Management for Informatica Power Centre to Cloud migration
Proven track record in cloud migration projects, specifically Informatica MDM and ETL.
Hands-on experience with Informatica tools (PowerCenter, IDQ, MDM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Strong understanding of data migration methodologies and integration patterns.
Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.
Familiarity with cloud-native services and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Experience with migration accelerators and tools (e.g., Informatica Migration Factory, CDI).
Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
