Position Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Midland, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Initial Contract)
Experience: 4 5 Years
Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00/ hr (based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that support business and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, transform raw data into meaningful insights, and maintain existing BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Local candidates preferred.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions.
Develop and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, APIs, Excel, and enterprise systems.
Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and ensure data accuracy and performance optimization.
Support operational and manufacturing teams by building dashboards focused on KPIs, production metrics, and performance tracking.
Troubleshoot and resolve data or report-related issues.
Ensure proper documentation of dashboards, data sources, and reporting logic.
Required Qualifications:
4 5 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
Strong experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
Hands-on experience with DAX and data modeling.
Experience working with SQL databases and writing complex queries.
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with manufacturing or operational data.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of Azure data services or other cloud data platforms is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
