Power BI Developer

Position Title: Power BI Developer
Location: Midland, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Initial Contract)
Experience: 4 5 Years

Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00/ hr (based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that support business and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, transform raw data into meaningful insights, and maintain existing BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Local candidates preferred.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions.

• Develop and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.

• Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, APIs, Excel, and enterprise systems.

• Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and ensure data accuracy and performance optimization.

• Support operational and manufacturing teams by building dashboards focused on KPIs, production metrics, and performance tracking.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data or report-related issues.

• Ensure proper documentation of dashboards, data sources, and reporting logic.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 5 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.

• Strong experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.

• Hands-on experience with DAX and data modeling.

• Experience working with SQL databases and writing complex queries.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with manufacturing or operational data.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

• Knowledge of Azure data services or other cloud data platforms is a plus.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
