Title: Quality Department Manager

Location: Bedford, NH - Fully onsite


Our client is currently seeking a Quality Department Manager with a strong background in quality-focused roles requiring exceptional attention to detail. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality procedures and required deliverables to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineers and inspectors with PMP requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure fabrication designs comply with approved data and quality flow-downs.
  • Create, compile, and deliver quality training materials and conduct training for new hires and existing staff as needed.
  • Proactively review and improve quality systems and processes to maintain and enhance standards. Ensure vendor compliance with quality requirements and flow-downs.
  • Provide analysis and guidance to ensure quality standards are effectively implemented.
  • Lead efforts to develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation methods, control systems, and protocols.
  • Perform part inspections using various inspection tools and equipment to verify conformance with requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of the AS9100 Quality Management System standard.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure products meet defined specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience working with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, positive attitude.
